Follow Sikkim’s Example:  Union Minister Kiren Rijiju Praises State at National Chintan Shivir

A high-level Sikkim delegation, led by Minister Samdup Lepcha, participated in the two-day National 'Chintan Shivir' held at the historic Nalanda University in Bihar

Organized by the Ministry of Minority Affairs, the summit brought together Union and State ministers to brainstorm an action-driven roadmap for the socio-economic empowerment of minority communities.

Minister Samdup Lepcha thanked the Centre for its support and presented a detailed status report on the Buddhist Development Project, seeking continued funding for health and education in Sikkim.

The summit wasn't just about talk. Union Minister Kiren Rijiju launched major tech initiatives, including an AI Chatbot, the NIGRANI App for project monitoring, and Smart Wrist Bands for Haj pilgrims.

Leaders held deep-dive discussions on five key areas: Infrastructure Development, Socio-Economic Empowerment, Waqf Management, Haj Management, and Scholarship Schemes.

In his closing remarks, Union Minister Kiren Rijiju highly praised Sikkim as a "model state" for its speedy execution of projects, urging other states to adopt Sikkim's exemplary approach.
