Bengaluru, February 18, 2026 – The Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) has seized 4.776 kg of cocaine valued at ₹23.88 crore in the illicit market from a Brazilian national at Kempegowda International Airport.
Acting on specific intelligence, officers of the NCB’s Bengaluru Zonal Unit intercepted the passenger shortly after he arrived from São Paulo via Doha early this morning.
During a thorough search of his checked-in baggage, officials recovered four modified ladies’ handbags with specially designed false compartments. The cocaine was cleverly concealed inside clothing and fabric that had been cocaine-infused — a sophisticated concealment technique used to evade detection dogs and scanners.
The accused has been arrested and is being questioned to uncover the full smuggling network, including source and intended recipients. A case has been registered under the NDPS Act.
This significant seizure highlights the NCB’s continued vigilance against international drug trafficking at major Indian airports.
