Bengal Electoral Roll 2026: Incomplete Final List Published; Guide to Check Your Voter Status
Kolkata, February 28, 2026 — In compliance with the directives of the Supreme Court, the Election Commission of India (ECI) is publishing the incomplete final voter list for West Bengal today.
The publication follows the Supreme Court’s intervention in the state’s Special Intensive Revision (SIR) process, which mandated that judicial officers must oversee the verification of pending elector credentials.
Categorization of Voters in the New List
According to the State’s Chief Electoral Officer (CEO), Manoj Kumar Agarwal, the baseline draft list of 7.08 crore voters remains, but individuals are now distinctly categorized based on their verification status:
Approved: Voters whose applications have been successfully verified are included normally.
Excluded: Individuals whose names are being removed will have the word “Delete” marked beside their entries.
Under Review: Approximately 60 lakh voters whose documents are still under judicial review will have the word “Adjudication” mentioned next to their names. These voters are pending final clearance by the deployed judicial officers.
How to Check Your Name and Status Online
With the digital version of the list being uploaded this afternoon, voters across West Bengal can check their current enrollment status and see if their name falls under the “Approved,” “Delete,” or “Adjudication” categories.
Citizens can verify their details using the following official platforms:
1. Via the Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) West Bengal Website
