SS Rajamouli Bows Down to Ranveer Singh and Aditya Dhar for Dhurandhar 2

Rajamouli Showers Praise on Ranveer Singh and R Madhavan for Dhurandhar: The Revenge

Mumbai, March 21, 2026 — Visionary RRR and Baahubali filmmaker SS Rajamouli has officially joined the massive chorus of celebrities showering praise on Aditya Dhar’s latest blockbuster, Dhurandhar 2: The Revenge.

Taking to X (formerly Twitter) on Saturday, the legendary director penned a glowing review of the four-hour-long spy thriller, declaring that the highly anticipated sequel has managed to completely eclipse its 2025 predecessor.

Praising Aditya Dhar’s ‘Guts’ and Vision

Rajamouli, known for his own grand cinematic spectacles, was visibly impressed by the sheer ambition of Dhurandhar 2.

“I loved Dhurandhar-1, but The Revenge surpassed the original in both scale and soul,” Rajamouli wrote. He commended the flawless nature of the film’s writing, technical execution, world design, and music, but noted that it was the genuine emotional tension that truly grounded the massive production.

Reserving special praise for the director, Rajamouli added, “@AdityaDharFilms, you hit it out of the park. It takes guts to make and release a film 4 hours long. The audience is glued to the seat till the last frame.”

Ranveer Singh’s ‘Masterclass’ Performance

The leading man, Ranveer Singh, who seamlessly transitions between the identities of undercover agent Jaskirat Singh Rangi and the ruthless Hamza Ali Mazari, received some of the highest compliments of his career from the Telugu stalwart.

Rajamouli singled out a highly emotional sequence involving the protagonist’s sister in a shed, calling it a “masterclass in acting.”

“What a performance man,” Rajamouli tweeted to Singh. “From that beginning to the heart-wrenching climax, you mesmerized us both as Hamza and Jaskirat.”

A Nod to R Madhavan and Unprecedented Box Office Success

Rajamouli also made sure to highlight veteran actor R. Madhavan’s crucial supporting role as Ajay Sanyal. He praised Madhavan for perfectly capturing and carrying “the helplessness and frustration of a nation” so effectively that the audience felt his eventual success as their own.

Rajamouli’s powerful endorsement comes just as Dhurandhar 2 shatters domestic and international box office records, reportedly crossing the ₹350 crore mark worldwide within just two days of its release. The film has already received rave reviews from other South Indian superstars, including Allu Arjun, Mahesh Babu, and Jr NTR, firmly establishing it as a pan-Indian cinematic phenomenon.
