New Delhi, April 7, 2026 — Just a month after stepping back from his day-to-day operational role at audio and wearables giant boAt, co-founder and popular Shark Tank India judge Aman Gupta has officially raised ₹100 crore in seed funding for his brand-new venture, OffBeat Studios.
The massive seed round was led by Bessemer Venture Partners, a globally renowned firm known for backing massive tech disruptors like Anthropic, Shopify, Canva, and LinkedIn. Entrackr reports that the seed funding places the valuation of the yet-to-be-launched venture at approximately ₹450 crore.
Strategic Capital Over Just Cash
Announcing the fundraise on LinkedIn, Gupta made it clear that this move was highly strategic and driven by the need for global expertise in technology and artificial intelligence, rather than a straightforward need for cash.
“Having built from scratch before, I know what capital can do and what it cannot,” Gupta shared in his post. “This time, I was looking for partners with a global perspective who can help me leverage technology and AI, because that’s where the future lies.”
Gupta, who chose his wedding anniversary to announce the funding, drew a parallel between marriage and venture capital. “I didn’t raise capital because I needed the cheque. I raised it because Anant, Vishal, and Bessemer’s partners across the world bring speed, credibility, network, and strategic support that money alone cannot buy,” he wrote. “Taking on an investor is like choosing a life partner. You need to get it right.”

Gupta first teased “Aman 2.0” and introduced OffBeat Studios in early March 2026. However, the exact nature of the business remains tightly under wraps. In September 2025, Gupta shifted to a non-executive director role at Imagine Marketing, the parent company of boAt, effectively handing over the day-to-day reins.
