Amit Shah Unveils ‘Bhorosha Shopath’: BJP Promises to Fencing Border, Implement UCC, and Provide Monthly Aid
Kolkata, April 10, 2026 — With the high-stakes West Bengal Assembly Elections approaching, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has officially released its much-anticipated election manifesto, titled ‘Bhorosha Shopath’ (Oath of Trust) or ‘Sankalp Patra’. Unveiled by Union Home Minister Amit Shah, the manifesto outlines a massive welfare-driven and culturally focused roadmap aimed at creating a “Sonar Bangla” (Golden Bengal) and ending the Trinamool Congress (TMC) rule.
Launching a blistering attack on the incumbent government, Shah stated that the last 15 years of TMC rule have been a “nightmare” for the people of the state, plagued by institutional corruption, violence, and infiltration.
“The BJP Sankalp Patra will guide farmers, youth, and women, giving them a new direction. It will offer renewed hope to every citizen who takes pride in Bengal’s culture,” Shah declared during the manifesto release in Kolkata.
