Prime Minister Narendra Modi Pens Heartfelt Condolence Letter to Prashant Tamang’s Wife

New Delhi – Prime Minister Narendra Modi has written a personal condolence letter to Martha Aley Tamang, wife of the late singer and actor Prashant Tamang, expressing deep grief over his untimely passing.

In the letter dated January 12, 2026, the Prime Minister described the news of Prashant Tamang’s demise as “shocking” and an “irreparable loss.” He highlighted Tamang’s soulful singing and excellent acting, noting how the Indian Idol Season 3 winner carved a unique niche in the world of entertainment.

“With his determination and immense talent, Shri Prashant Tamang Ji touched crores of hearts across the nation,” the Prime Minister wrote. “He is an inspiration for countless people who see their own hopes reflected in his story.
