Organized by West Bengal Police, the competition draws participants from eight districts and units across North Bengal, starting with over 1,000 online auditions before selecting the top 30 singers. The debut episode, released on January 19, 2026, on the “Police Idol: North Bengal Chapter” YouTube channel, introduced the judges and their opening performances to set an inspiring tone.

Hosted by Ranjini Sengupta, the episode featured judges Sourav Hom Roy, Barnali Basu, and Chandan Lomjel, who shared insights and showcased their talents.
