The recognition celebrates her outstanding contributions to storytelling, her fearless choice of roles, and her rapidly growing impact on global cultural representation. She will be officially felicitated at a grand event at Harvard University later this month.

The Harvard South Asian Association, which is the university’s premier organization dedicated to celebrating South Asian culture, creativity, and leadership, awards this honour annually. By receiving this coveted title, the versatile actress joins a highly distinguished list of past recipients, including Michelin-star chef and filmmaker Vikas Khanna, who was honored with the award last year.

Her maiden short film, titled Aasmani, is already creating ripples in the international festival circuit. The project is slated to have its world premiere at the prestigious WorldFest-Houston International Film Festival on April 25. Immediately following its debut, the film will be screened at the Indie Meme Film Festival on April 26.
