Bareilly Horror: 24-Year-Old Salon Worker Bludgeoned to Death with Brick Over Social Media Dispute
Bareilly, April 10, 2026 — A minor dispute over a comment on an Instagram Reel took a horrifyingly violent turn in Uttar Pradesh’s Bareilly district, leading to the brutal murder of a 24-year-old youth by his own friend. The local police have successfully cracked the case and arrested the 19-year-old accused.
A Gruesome Discovery
The incident unfolded in the Kotwali police station area. The victim, identified as Aman Raza, was a resident of Malookpur and worked at a local salon.
The horrifying crime came to light on April 8 when Raza’s body was discovered in an abandoned, ruined building situated near the City Railway Station. The condition of the body indicated a savage attack. According to the police, there were around 21 deep injury marks across Raza’s face and body, making it clear that he had been bludgeoned with extreme cruelty.
The Investigation and Arrest
Initially, the victim’s family registered a case expressing suspicion against three of Raza’s friends. However, after a thorough preliminary investigation, the police found them to be innocent of the crime.
Shifting their focus, the authorities began scanning local CCTV footage around the crime scene and analyzing the victim’s call detail records. Based on strong technical evidence, the police zeroed in on 19-year-old Samad Musa, a resident of the Zakhira area.
Acting swiftly, the police intercepted and arrested Musa near the City Sabzi Mandi. Following his arrest, the police also managed to recover the murder weapon—a blood-stained brick used in the horrific assault.
An Instagram Dispute
During interrogation, Samad Musa confessed to the crime and made a shocking revelation about the motive. The police disclosed that Samad and Aman had actually become friends through the social media platform Instagram about six months ago.
However, their online friendship soon soured. A petty argument broke out between the two over a comment left on an Instagram Reel. This seemingly trivial digital dispute rapidly escalated into deep-seated enmity, eventually driving Samad to lure his friend to the isolated building and violently murder him.
The accused has been sent to jail, and further legal proceedings are currently underway.
