Dubai, February 15, 2026 — Traditional medicine took center stage in the Middle East today as the 3rd International AYUSH Conference and Exhibition 2026 kicked off at the Dubai World Trade Centre. Inaugurated by India’s Minister of State for AYUSH, Prataprao Jadhav, the three-day event has brought together global wellness brands, researchers, and policymakers to discuss the future of holistic healthcare under the theme, “Evidence-Based AYUSH Interventions in Mind-Body Health.”

In his inaugural address, Minister Jadhav emphasized that India’s traditional knowledge systems—Ayurveda, Yoga, Unani, Siddha, and Homeopathy—are no longer alternative options but are becoming central to global health discussions.

“At a time when the world faces increasing stress, mental health challenges, and lifestyle-related disorders, AYUSH systems offer holistic and evidence-based solutions that emphasize the harmonious relationship between body, mind, and environment,” Jadhav stated.

A key outcome of this conference will be the deliberation of a draft white paper on AYUSH-based mind-body interventions. Once finalized, this document is expected to serve as a global knowledge repository for governments and academic bodies, contributing meaningfully to international healthcare policymaking.

The Minister highlighted the growing international acceptance of Indian traditional medicine, referencing the 2nd WHO Global Summit on Traditional Medicine held in New Delhi in December 2025. He noted that recently announced free trade agreements (FTAs) with the European Union and the United States have opened massive new avenues for AYUSH products and services.

Locally, the Minister praised the UAE’s official recognition of Ayurveda and Unani, which has strengthened bilateral cooperation and paved the way for an integrated global health system.

The event is massive in scale, with over 120 exhibitors ranging from pharmaceutical giants and equipment manufacturers to wellness resorts and medical tourism providers. Organizers expect over 100,000 visitors from across the globe during the event, which runs until February 17.

The conference agenda includes scientific sessions, policy dialogues, an international delegation meeting, and a film festival. It is organized by the Science India Forum UAE in collaboration with the World Ayurveda Foundation, under the patronage of India’s Ministry of AYUSH and the Consulate General of India in Dubai.

Prominent dignitaries at the launch included Rajesh Kotecha (Secretary, Ministry of AYUSH), Dr. Deepak Mittal (Ambassador of India to the UAE), spiritual leader Mohanji, and Ahmed Ibrahim Musabih of the UAE Yoga Committee.
