Kalimpong, March 31, 2026 — In a swift interstate operation, the Kalimpong Police successfully rescued a missing minor girl from Bihar just 24 hours after she was reported missing.
The case began on Sunday, March 29, when a frantic complaint was filed at the Kalimpong police station stating a young girl had vanished from Kalimpong town. Recognizing the urgency, authorities immediately launched a search operation.
A dedicated police team, led by Assistant Sub Inspector (ASI) Barun Biswakarma, utilized technical surveillance to track the minor’s route across state lines. Acting on real-time intelligence, the team traveled to Bihar and safely recovered the girl on Monday, March 30.
The minor was brought back to Kalimpong completely unharmed. Following mandatory legal and child welfare protocols, she will be safely reunited with her parents.
