Foreign Nationals Among 10 Arrested in ₹23.6 Crore Bengaluru Drug Bust

Bengaluru, April 17, 2026 — In a massive victory against the city’s illicit narcotics trade, the Bengaluru City Police have dismantled a widespread drug supply network, arresting 10 individuals and seizing prohibited drugs with an estimated street market value of a staggering ₹23.63 crore.

The sweeping crackdown was executed across multiple police jurisdictions, targeting peddlers supplying high-end party drugs and marijuana throughout the tech capital.

The Massive Haul

According to an official statement released by the Bengaluru City Police, the highly coordinated operation resulted in a massive confiscation of both synthetic and plant-based narcotics.

The total seizure includes:

  • MDMA: 5 kg 919 grams

  • Cocaine: 1 kg 151 grams

  • Ganja (Marijuana): 21 kg

  • Ecstasy Pills: 19 grams

Alongside the contraband, authorities also impounded a two-wheeler that the accused used to transport and distribute the drugs across the city. Police officials noted that while the base value of the seized property is ₹11,81,63,000, its estimated retail market value on the streets is roughly double, standing at an astronomical ₹23,63,26,000.

A Diverse Syndicate Busted

The operation successfully neutralized a highly diverse syndicate of drug peddlers. Out of the 10 people arrested during the raids, three are foreign nationals, comprising two women and one man.

Furthermore, the police apprehended five individuals hailing from outside Karnataka, along with two local residents who were allegedly facilitating the ground-level logistics and distribution of the drugs.

Citywide Operations

The crackdown was not limited to a single area but spanned several critical jurisdictions across Bengaluru. The intelligence-led raids were carried out under the limits of the Yelahanka Sub-Division and involved active participation from multiple police stations.

The specific police stations that executed the arrests and seizures include:

  • Devara Jeevanahalli Police Station

  • Banaswadi Police Station

  • Koramangala Police Station

  • Bommanahalli Police Station

  • Pulakeshinagar Police Station

The arrested individuals are currently undergoing intense interrogation as investigators work to trace the international and inter-state origins of the seized cocaine and MDMA, aiming to root out the larger kingpins behind the operation.
